PRISTINA High-ranking officials of the EU says despite EU's economic difficulties, "there is no willingness to end the mission of EULEX in Kosovo in June next year." Instead there are plans for restructuring and reduction of employees, Tanjug has reported on Tuesday. EU mission in Kosovo to "restructure, not leave" There will be changes, but the mission will not be terminated," an anonymous high-ranking EU official told the daily Tribuna from Pristina. According to Tribuna's sources, the team of prosecutors and investigators investigating the claims of human organ trafficking made in the report of Dick Marty will become a separate body. It is still unclear if this part of the mission will work only on the information from Marty's report or be expanded into a sort of tribunal for the war crimes committed in Kosovo. This mission would stay under the authority of the EU, and not the UN, which has been proposed. The remaining part of the current mission, according to the same sources, will have three parts. The first will battle organized crime and corruption and involve EULEX prosecutors and investigators. The second part would monitor and advise Kosovo's central institutions, while the third would focus on northern Kosovo and the obligations regarding the implementation of the Brussels agreement.
