PRIZREN Aleksandar Vulin has said that "that no agreement in Kosovo and Metohija is valid without the executive role of EULEX." Reacting to the Kosovo assembly resolution on the role of EULEX, the director of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metihija said it was "not the will of Pristina but the UN Security Council and the Republic of Serbia that brought EULEX to Kosovo," and the mission can only leave in the same manner. "If EULEX leaves, agreements no longer valid" "I want to warn representatives of the Pristina institutions and the international community that we are very serious in our position that no agreement is valid without EULEX's executive role. EULEX leaving would mean what the agreements are null and void and cannot be implemented," said Vulin. Vulin, who attended the celebration of the patron saint's day at the Serbian Orthodox Monastery of the Holy Archangels in Prizren, stressed that Serbia does not recognize Kosovo, which is why EULEX must be present in the province. The resolution adopted in Pristina on Thrusday asked that the mission's mandate "not be extended because they are not satisfied with its role in investigating and prosecuting war crimes," Tanjug reported. The EU gave EULEX a mandate in Kosovo until June 2014 with the possibility of an extension. (Tanjug) Tanjug
