Every tenth child in the world and Serbia is prematurely born and needs to spend time in an incubator in order to have a normal development. Risks to child’s life and health increase with every week that a child is prematurely born and adequate care and equipment are therefore very important. Telenor joins B92 baby incubator campaign A short film picturing steps that a prematurely born baby is facing was promoted in B92 TV’s morning show. Baby Jasmine is only one of almost 13 million babies who are prematurely born in a single year. Aside from doctors’ expertise, conditions in which Jasmine will spent the first moments of her life are of key importance. Incubators are more than 40 years old in Serbia and an increasing number of companies are therefore joining the campaign. Telenor telecommunications company has also joined the B92 “Battle for Babies” campaign. “Telenor Foundation has so far donated one incubator, but we are planning on opening a humanitarian hotline together with other operators and we hope that significant funds will be raised this way. The number will be 3100 and it will probably be operational starting next week. The campaign coincides with what we think it is important to support, and those are essential problems that exist in our society,” says Telenor Foundation Manager Ana Krstic. You can join the “Battle for Babies” campaign and find all necessary information at www.bitkazabebe.rs.
