According to the Serbian government, Brnabic, who is currently minister of state administration and local self government, said this was an obligation towards the citizens who expect to feel the results of the work of the government through improved quality of life.

“I would like to thank the president for placing enormous trust in my capabilities to lead the Government of Serbia and continue with the reforms with undiminished dedication and strength. There is no greater honor than serving your country and I shall, should the National Assembly elect me, lead the government with dedication and responsibility, and I will do my job honestly and with passion," Brnabic said, and added:

"I am aware of the responsibility I take upon myself for I am succeeding a true leader, as well as my obligation towards the citizens who expect to feel the results of the work of the Government through improved quality of life," she stated.

"I have accepted the nomination from the president and I will start the work on my expose and formation of the Government. It is important to continue the work on projects and today, I am traveling to municipality of Vrnjacka Banja for a visit that was previously scheduled. I am going to check the operation of the system by which we linked data from six state institutions that enable the state to act as a service to its citizens," Brnabic said.

According to her, this is "an important reform, a revolutionary project for Serbia."

"I will, together with the team in the Government of Serbia, and all state institutions continue the work on the reform of the state administration. The projects which were started must be completed, and for the last months I have been working with dedication towards the goal of making Serbia a modern state in which state administration operates efficiently and as a service to its citizens," Brnabic stated, and concluded:

"I will be personally engaged on the joint accomplishment of goals that are larger and more important than any of us individually."
