BELGRADE Former Serbian President Boris Tadic says he does not want to answer Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic’s questions "about things he was not in charge of as president". He noted that security services, currently led by Vucic, were in charge of the issues the deputy prime minister asked about. Ex-president "won't respond" to deputy PM question Tadic assessed that the current government was trying to transfer its internal conflicts to media. The former president said, commenting on Vucic's questions about drug lord Darko Saric’s gang, that he believed that a statement he had made before the deputy PM’s press conference had “fully served its purpose” since it was “now more than obvious that the current government is trying to export its internal conflicts to media by taking advantage of issues that are of key importance for the national security”. “It would irresponsible of me to continue to take part in such a debate in this situation and to answer pointless, cheap political questions that I was never in charge of as the president of the republic and for which security services, ran by Mr. Vucic, had exclusive jurisdiction,” Tadic concluded.
