Justice Minister Snezana Malovic and Special Prosecutor for Organized Crime Miljko Radisavljevic have moved out from their apartments. This came because of threats made by Darko Saric’s gang, Belgrade daily Danas writes. Justice minister, prosecutor move from apartments Malovic had to change her place of residence and move out of her apartment because of the death threats she received. According to unofficial information, Radisavljevic has moved at least three times during the previous period. According to the daily’s source, the justice minister moved when police was informed that a person had been photographing the entrance to the residential building she lived in, with their cell phone. The source explained that the minister had been assigned with security from an elite VS unit that also provide security for President Boris Tadic. According to unofficial information, a car packed with explosives was found a year and a half ago in front of the building where the special prosecutor lived in at the time. This information was obtained through tapping of telephone calls, the source explained. He pointed out that the amount of explosives would have demolished three surrounding buildings had it not been found, which shows the determination of organized criminal groups to sacrifice more than 100 people in order to achieve their goals, the newspaper reports. This incident, however, is not linked with the Saric gang. Saric is currently a fugitive from justice, and the Special Organized Crime Prosecution yesterday indicted him and his group. When it comes to threats made against Radisavljevic, the source says that there were no direct phone calls but that conversations about the planning of the assassination have been intercepted. Threats have also been made against War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic. “We have recorded a total of 69 threats made against Prosecutor Vukcevic and the associates at the War Crimes Prosecution. It is necessary to protect holders of state and judicial positions who participate in combat against organized crime,” said Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric.
