"The European Union can bring in professional to help establish law and order in the entire territory of Kosovo. Serbia wants to joint the EU and this is why it should enable EULEX to be installed in the entire territory of Kosovo," Kermabon stated. He added that the Serbian government is "losing one million euros on a daily basis due to smuggling operations in northern Kosovo", because the law is not implemented there and this is why he said he would try to establish good relations with Belgrade. Trajkovic, who chairs the Serbian National Council for Central Kosovo, said after meeting with Kermabon that cooperation with EULEX is primarily important for the Serbs who live there. She blamed "certain individuals" in northern Kosovo for "presenting themselves as big Serbs due to false nationalism, and engaging in criminal activities", and added that "their sole aim is to abuse the funds intended for the Serbs in Kosovo". "I have experience in cooperation with the UN mission since 1999 and this is why I have decided to meet with Kermabon, because they can help establish peace and order in the entire territory of Kosovo," Trajkovic was quoted as saying. She also said she hoped "Belgrade would not accuse her because of cooperation with EULEX". Serbia officially says that the EU mission to the province is unacceptable without a UN Security Council decision.
