The advantage of the coalition gathered around the opposition SNS party over that led by the ruling DS has slightly increased and is now at 4.1 percent. This is according to a new survey conducted by the Faktor Plus agency, presented on March 26, Beta news agency reported. Progressives gaining against Democrats in new poll Agency representatives told a news conference that the coalition led by the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) could count on 33.2 percent of the votes, while their largest rivals, gathered around the Democratic Party (DS) , had the support of 29.1 percent of the surveyed. In the previous Faktor Plus poll, which was unveiled three weeks ago, preference for the Serb Progressive Party was between two and three percent. In third place is the coalition around the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), which received 11.1 percent support. The parties gathered in the coalition Preokret (U-Turn) can count on 6.4 percent of votes, the Serb Radical Party (SRS) and the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) can count on 5.8 percent each, while United Regions of Serbi (URS)a, despite slight growth, remain below the election threshold with 3.8 percent. According to Faktor Plus Director Vladimir Pejic, the rise in support for the Serb Progressive Party coalition was not conspicuous, but a growing trend is noticeable. Pejic added that the Progressives do not have an aggressive campaign like the Democratic Party but, nonetheless, have registered growth, which may be related to information that many traditional Democratic Party voters plan to abstain from the elections. He said that interest in taking part in the upcoming elections was at its lowest to date and that, currently, it is only known for sure who 34 percent of the polled will vote for. The same survey showed that only five percent of citizens believe all the promises made by politicians in the election campaign, while 76 percent of voters have no trust in what they hear from politicians.
