My guess for elections is:

DS: 29%-31%
SNS: 29%-31%
SPS: 10%-12%
LDP: 7%-9%
SRS: 5%-6%
DSS: 4%-6%

DS will never work with DSS or SRS. LDP will never form a government with SRS or DSS and prefers DS over SNS. Makes only possible ruling coalition: DS-SPS-LDP
(Berk., 27 March 2012 14:32)

My predictions:
DS - 30
SNS - 33
SPS - 11
DSS - 6
LDP - 8
SRS - 6
Minorities/URS - 6

Coalition Government guaranteed.
A number of options:
DS/SPS/LDP supported by Minorities/URS (highly likely)
SNS/DSS/SRS/SPS (very unlikely)

The key here is how well the LDP and DSS do. If one of these parties score in the 7-8 range, they could very well hold the balance of power. It is looking likely to be the LDP.

Either way, it is shaping up to be a very interesting election. Voter turnout is key. High turnout (+60%) will suit the smaller parties.

Zoran, Serbian politicians would make a pact with the devil, just to retain their seats in power. Where in the world can you find socialists and liberal democrats in one coalition, other than Serbia? IMHO, do away with these ridiculous coalitions, if you don't get enough votes, get out. The two leading parties should form the government, the ruling party and the minority opposition. The rest, go and find a real job and work for a living.

"while 76 percent of voters have no trust in what they hear from politicians" - I am surprised that the number is so low, I don't believe anything that politicians says. How can you tell they are lying, their lips are moving, and they are promising things, especially at election time. Wonder how it feels, to know that most people think you are a liar? Politicians are a select breed of people, and I guess you have to be teflon-coated to be one.

So based on these results, if it is accurate, equates to a chance the DS, SPS and LDP could form a government. Now that's a scary prospect that could destabilise Serbia.

God help Serbia if the LDP ever enters into government.
