Mayor, Belgrade delegation in Chicago

A city of Belgrade delegation, headed by Mayor Dragan Djilas, started their visit to Chicago, said reports. They held meetings on strengthening of the cooperation between the two cities which have since 2005 been promoting their ties as sister cities, it was stated by the City of Belgrade's administration late on Wednesday. Mayor, Belgrade delegation in Chicago On Tuesday, Djilas met with Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, who has held the post for the past 21 years. Afterward, Djilas underscored that the cooperation and exchange of experiences with Chicago city administration may help the development and better functioning of Belgrade's management. “I expect a direct flight from Belgrade to Chicago to be introduced next year, which is very important for our people living here, but also for all those who would like to come to Serbia from these parts of America in order to invest in our economy,” said Djilas. According to the statement, Mayor Daley had accepted his Belgrade counterpart's invitation to visit the Serbian capital.
