Serbia and Illinois sign agreement
Serbian President Boris Tadić has signed an Agreement on establishment of brotherly relations between Serbia and Illinois.

“I am exceptionally happy that we signed this agreement, which is very important, not only for Serbia, but for Illinois’ economic capacity, which will place its projects and means inSerbia. Now we need to work on implementing this agreement, which is my new task”, Tadić said. The agreement’s implementation will be supervised by a joint body. Annual meetings are also planned, where Serbia will have an opportunity to present its companies and products. The Illinois Governor will visit Serbia in 2007.
After the signing ceremony, Tadić met representatives of the Serb Diaspora at the Serbian consulate-general in Chicago. He said 2006 and 2007 are fateful years for Serbia. “Serbia is facing one of the most important moments of its entire history, and I am convinced the future of our country and our nation will be created in these two years”, the Serbian president concluded.
