Dodik on number of killed in Srebrenica

Republic of Srpska (RS) Premier Milorad Dodik says his government does not deny the fact that a crime against Bosniaks (Muslims) took place in Srebrenica.

Republic of Srpska (RS) Premier Milorad Dodik says his government does not deny the fact that a crime against Bosniaks (Muslims) took place in Srebrenica. He also underlined the need to determine the exact number of the people killed in July 1995. Dodik on number of killed in Srebrenica After a government session that discussed a commission's report on the killing of Bosniaks in Srebrenica, Dodik said that the RS government concluded that the previous commission for Srebrenica operated under great pressure and threats of the then high representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Paddy Ashdown, and consequently, there was no impartiality in the commission's operation. He said that the government tasked the Republic center for war crime research to determine the facts regarding the war conflicts in the area of Srebrenica and the exact list of people missing or killed in these war operations. Our primary goal is to determine the facts regarding the people who were killed in Srebrenica, Dodik underscored. He said that the Research and Documentation Center in Sarajevo has found out that 500 people from Srebrenica are alive, although they are on the list of people missing or killed in Srebrenica. Dodik also mentioned the facts that 75 Bosniaks were buried in the area of Srebrenica even though they were not killed there, and added that family members of the victims who died of natural causes have also been buried in the Srebrenica-Potocari Memorial Center. The government's report on the war incidents in Srebrenica in July 1995 says that according to the preliminary data, 7,800 Bosniaks went missing in the area.
