VOA reports that the purpose of the mission would be to seek clarifications regarding possible military dimensions to Iran's nuclear program. IAEA wants to send mission to Iran The UN nuclear watchdog is meeting in Vienna where Amano made the statement, for the first time since its report alleged last week there was credible evidence that Iran was trying to build nuclear weapons. VOA said that diplomats negotiated throughout the day on Wednesday on a resolution, with western diplomats pushing for a strongly worded condemnation, but running into resistance from Russia and China. Iran rejected the report and has continually denied allegations it is pursuing nuclear weapon, the news agency reported.
