Opposition in the eastern Libya have stated Friday that they will not accept any negotiations unless Muammar Gaddafi steps down and departs into exile. The opposition National Libyan Council in Benghazi also asked for foreign intervention to prevent air strikes on rebel bases by Gaddafi-backed troops. Opposition rules out negotiations with Gaddafi In the meantime, International Criminal Court said it would investigate Gaddafi and his sons for crimes against humanity, BBC reported. The U.S. president Barack Obama also called Gaddafi to quit. The Council said there was no room for talks, following reports that Gaddafi had ordered an intelligence chief to negotiate with the rebels. The National Council is headed by the former Minister Interior Mustafa Abdel-Jalil. Meanwhile, the residents of the capital Tripoli have called for demonstrations on Friday after weekly Muslim prayers.
