Hassan Nasrallah said any such Israeli military, civilian or commercial vessel would come under fire, if Israel imposes a fresh sea blockade on Lebanon. During its war against Hezbollah in 2006, Israel imposed an air and sea embargo on Lebanon. It said this was to prevent arms getting to the group. Some 1,200 people in Lebanon, mostly civilians, were killed in the month-long conflict while 160 Israelis, mostly soldiers, also died. Tensions have risen in the region recently after Israel accused Syria of supplying Hezbollah with Scud missiles, something Damascus denies.
