Halimi appealed on those able to make donations to provide raincoats and shoes, as these items were needed, and said there was enough food.

Although this high number of migrants pass through the town every day, they wait two to three hours to enter the local reception center for registeration. The migrants told reporters the rainy weather was "not as big a problem as the uncertainty over how they will continue."

"We have heard that there are problems in Croatia and Slovenia. I cannot think about it," said Mahari from Syria while waiting in front of the center, and added: "I'm going step by step, I'm here now, and when I finish this I will think what to do next."

Works are ongoing at the center to furnish another factory halls for accommodation, while a new access road is also being built. Apart from Presevo, another factory hall is being adopted in nearby Bujanovac to be used for temporary housing of migrants.
