President Boris Tadic will received the Steiger award for respectfulness, openness, humanity, and tolerance. The award will be given to him by the German province of Rhine-Westfalia. Tadic to recieve Steiger award Steiger represents a miner or mine overseer, which is a synonym for the openness of a miner, a symbol of reliability in good and bad times. The award is “given to people from Germany and abroad who show with their work these characteristics, and respectfully travel down their own road while giving all they have to their goals.” Along with Tadic, the award will also be given to American theater director Bob Wilson, British actor Christopher Lee and Princess Haya of Jordan, among others.
