Health Minister Tomica Milosavljevic said on Monday that 57,000 people in Serbia received the swine flue vaccine in the first ten days. He also evaluated that the number is insufficient, "considering the fact that vaccination helped prevent the spread of many diseases in the history of medicine". "Over 57,000 people vaccinated" “The vaccine is available, free and safe, and there are no serious side effects, neither in Serbia nor in other European countries,” the minister told a news conference in Kragujevac. He added that “people should get vaccinated and preemptively prepare themselves for January and February when an increase in the number of infected will occur.”
