Swine flu vaccine shipment set to arrive
Pharmaceutical company Jugohemija will today receive the first 140,000 doses of the Novartis swine flu vaccines from the Swiss company's plant in Siena, Italy.

Pharmaceutical company Jugohemija will today receive the first 140,000 doses of the Novartis swine flu vaccines from the Swiss company's plant in Siena, Italy. The vaccines will be transported by special refrigerator trucks to the Torlak Institute in Belgrade, Jugohemija has announced. Swine flu vaccine shipment set to arrive This will be the first supply of the vaccines delivered to Serbia before the scheduled deadline. "Rigorous measures" to maintain the temperature “cold chain” will be taken during the transport, it was also announced. The documents attesting that the shipment had been delivered in a controlled environment as well the full documentation on the quality certified by the European Medicines Agency will be submitted to the competent institutions in Serbia, the announcement added. Further successive deliveries of the vaccines will be continued according to the agreed dynamics and in coordination with Novartis, said Jugohemija. Serbia has 364 confirmed cases of the A/H1N1 flu virus infections. 17 people died of the disease, according to the authorities.
