SPC Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje and Herzegovina says there is "no split whatsoever in the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church". The dignitary also pointed out that all the speculations in that sense are but "ill-intentioned lies". Bishop denies rift in Holy Synod “It should be made clear that this is but mere lies about the Synod splitting into two parts - one headed by Archbishop Amfilohije and the other by two bishops and myself, and this is malevolent,” Bishop Grigorije underlined in an interview for Belgrade daily Politika. “The dialog between the members of the Holy Synod is sincere, intensive, honest, and although it is brisk at times, it has but one goal and one wish - to light the fire of mutual love and bring to our church and people the joy of life, forgiveness, the desire to serve, to introduce a culture that is not tasteless parody, but is rather the result of hard work and discipline, the culture of joy of life in the community of the brothers and apostles of Christ,” Bishop Grigorije said.
