Serbia's under-18 basketball team are the new European champions after winning the tournament in Metz, France. On Sunday, they beat the hosts France 78-72 in the final game, with Danilo Andjusic scoring 22 points. Junior basketball squad European champions The Serbians, led by coach Vlada Jovanovic, started the tournament losing precisely to the French, but then had a run of seven victories, including the one that clinched the gold. Turkey beat Lithuania to win the bronze medal.
