Serbian tennis star and UNICEF ambassador Ana Ivanovic will give all money raised from her new Adidas clothing line to the “Schools without Violence” campaign. The Adidas line will feature six shirts in three categories: for women, girls and unisex. Ana Ivanovic endorses “Schools without Violence” The designs for the clothing line, which will be limited edition, were selected by Ivanovic’s fans via a vote on her website. The shirts will go on sale on July 20 in Adidas stores around Serbia, and will be available through the websites www.anaIvanovic.com and www.unicef.rs. All money raised from the sale of these shirts will go to the “Schools without Violence” campaign. “This is a great idea and a very useful campaign. Not only will we raise money for the UNICEF ‘Schools without Violence’ campaign and help its application in schools around Serbia, but we will also raise awareness of the importance of UNICEF’s work on promoting the rights of children,” Ivanovic said. Ivanovic’s personal donations have enabled 16 schools in Serbia to join the project, which is financed exclusively from funds raised locally, through donations from members of the public and the business community. “The shirts are amazingly designed and I love wearing them,” she added. “Schools without Violence” began as a result of increased concerns over violence among and against children and young people in Serbia over the last few years. The goal of the program is to help create a safe and supportive learning environment for children’s work and development. It is designed not only for students, teachers and employees in schools, but also for families and the entire community. The program is being implemented by UNICEF in cooperation with the Education Ministry, the Health Ministry, the Labor and Social Policies Ministry, the National Child Rights Council, the Institute for Enhancing Education and Child-Rearing, as well as the Interior Ministry and the Youth and Sport Ministry.
