The BIA says that there is a lot of public mystification regarding the hiding of documents pertaining to the case of late Chetnik leader Draza Mihailovic. The meeting of the commission tasked with establishing the facts and circumstances in which Mihailovic, the former chief-of-staff of the Yugoslav Royal Army during the Second World War, was attended by officials of all state security agencies and institutions. Chetnik leader’s burial place still shrouded in mystery "There is no valid reason to hide any kind of papers related to the event. That’s how it will be as long as I am in charge, also because my grandfather was a part of the movement in his town. Unfortunately, I do not think that we can help much, because, according to our information, that documentation simply does not exist," Security services (BIA) chief Sasa Vukadinovic told daily Politika. Miroslav Panic, the BIA director’s special adviser, said that efforts were being made to find the documents. "We investigated and searched without success. I am not sure that any documents exist about it," Panic said. Neither does General Svetko Kovac, head of military intelligence, believe that the documents are in the agency's possession. "I am convinced that not even the documentation sent to the central JNA archives in Sarajevo after the trial contained an act on condemning Draza Mihailovic to the death penalty. In our documentation, we have a complete report from the trials, death penalties from this period, all the transcripts were kept. But, I'm convinced that this document doesn't exist, just as there is no documentation on the Ozna prison in Ada Ciganlija," Kovac said. Slobodan Radovanovic, the state prosecutor and president of the commission, told the members that dozens of people had contact the state and district prosecution with information that "they definitely know where Dragoljub Draza Mihailovic was executed and buried." "We will look into this information," Radovanovic said.
