Serbia, China sign culture cooperation deal

Culture Minister Nebojsa Bradic and Chinese Ambassador Wei Jinghua have signed an agreement on cultural cooperation. The agreement, signed at government HQ, will be implemented by the countries' respective ministries over the next five years. The minister said that the signing of the document was a historic moment, since it was for the first time that the Serbian government had signed an agreement on culture, and the first time that a document had been signed between two Ministries of Culture. This, he stated, was all the more important because the agreement had been signed with a friendly country, with which Serbia had big plans for the future. The Chinese ambassador also expressed satisfaction at the signing, adding that it would represent a basic framework for cultural cooperation and exchange over the next five years.
