Greek Ambassador in Belgrade Christos Papagopoulos presented letters of gratitude and medals to the Serbian MUP and MoD members. MUP's firemen and Serbian Air Force pilots assisted in putting out devastating wildfires in Greece last summer. Greece thanks Serbia's firemen, pilots Honorary diplomas and medals awarded by Greek President Karolos Papoulias and this country's Ministry of Public Order were presented to 55 firemen and 14 pilots and mechanics. Papagopoulos also presented letters of gratitude and medals to Secretary of State with the Ministry of Defense Dusan Spasojevic, and MUP's Protection and Rescue chief Predrag Maric. The Greek ambassador thanked the firemen and the pilots for their help, stressing that "great friendships are proven in difficult times".
