BORBA—"That's the way to love Kosovo", is about the message Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica sent to the protesting students in Kosovska Mitrovica yesterday. FDI magazine has recommended investment in the small Vojvodina town of Indjija: "In the company of the best". BLIC—The divisions in the Council for National Security, SNB, have become apparent and a report about it is on the front page, "State leadership can't even agree to condemn violence". "Boy watched his friends get raped", is about the testimony of a pedophile's victim. While most of his peers are either in jail or under investigation, the Serbian FA chief is still free, and still abroad: "Three reasons why [Zvezdan] Terzic doesn't dare to return". Serbia is not immune to the record prices of oil: "[Liter of]Gas 100 dinars soon". VECERNJE NOVOSTI—"Lawsuit against grab", says that Serbia will file lawsuits before the International Court of Justice against those countries that recognize Kosovo's illegal secession. "Behind bars until summer?", is about the fate of the three former Red Star FC executives. The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Radovan Jelasic believes the time is right to alarm the public: "Dinar is shaking". GAZETA—The Council for National Security session, in the absence of an official statement, provided fertile ground for speculation and rumors; the daily brings an original one, and claims that the VAT, or PDV as the tax is known in its Serbian acronym, was also discussed, "PDV up to 20 percent?". Serbian basketball player Marko Jaric, who plays in the U.S., has apparently been punished for this criticism of that country's position in his country's affairs: "NBA scandal – Jaric benched because of Kosovo!!!" GLAS JAVNOSTI—Russian UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin is warning again: "Stop to force against Serbs". "Hague team packs bags", this time a team of legal representatives, who will take Serbia's Kosovo case to the ICJ. "Either us or them!", is how Serbian athletes feel about the possibility of playing in the same competitions as those from Kosovo. DANAS—The liberal daily also leads with the highly controversial SNB meeting: "Serious clash between Tadic and Kostunica". Notwithstanding this news, another headline says, "Early elections likely in fall". "Kosovo has united cabinet ministers", the DSS-NS coalition claims. Mladjan Dinkic of G17 Plus seems to agree in another article, when he says, "Now is not time for rifts in the ruling coalition". KURIR—RTB Bor's troubled privatization is explored under, "Bankruptcy mafia bought RTB Bor". As for the football mafia, things are beginning to look up for Ratko Buturuovic, a.k.a. Bata Kankan - Vojvodina FC president arrested in a spectacular special police raid - "Bata Kankan to be released today". POLITIKA—"It's never too late for negotiations", Vitaly Churkin is quoted. "National unity tested", the SNB meeting is further explored. Serbia's civil servants have little to complain about: "Governor's salary four times higher than the prime minister's". "Serbs leave Kosovo police", is about the turmoil in the Serb-inhabited areas of the province. PRESS—"MI6 planned to kill Seselj!", the tabloid says. "VAT up to 20 percent because of Kosmet!", says another headline.
