Youngest victim of Vojvodina crash dies

Jelena Borenovic, who was seriously injured in a car crash near Sirig on Saturday, died yesterday at 5.45 p.m. Director of the Vojvodina Institute for Child and Youth Protection Georgis Konstanidos made the announcement today, adding that her sisters, Jovana and Miljana, were both still in deep comas and had suffered severe life-threatening injuries. Their condition was unchanged from yesterday. Youngest victim of Vojvodina crash dies The three girls were injured in a collision that claimed the lives of both their parents. The fourth girl in the car, Teodora Zagorac, sustained head injuries and a broken hip, but is out of danger, and has been transferred to the orthopaedic unit. The accident took place on October 27 near Novi Sad, between Sirig and Cenej. Marinko Borenovic (37) and his wife Zlata (35) from Bajmok died at the scene. Their Golf was overtaking another car and collided head-on with an oncoming Lasta coach. Three passengers on the coach also sustained minor injuries.
