Bomb threat against Russian office in Kosovo? The massive presence of law enforcement units began on Thursday night and was continuing on Friday, with many cars, entering the district, being searched. “This is just an ordinary check-point. There is nothing special going on”, said a police officer at one of the check-points. Balkan Insight sources within the Kosovo Police Service, KPS, said the special security measures were being taken following threats against the Russian liaison office, located in this part of the city. “Koha Ditore” daily in its Friday edition published a story, saying the Russian office has received a telephone call from a person threatening to bomb it. This has not been confirmed by KPS officials. “We provide security for the liaison offices, and there is no special treatment for the Russian office” said Veton Elshani, KPS spokesperson.
