Valentin Inzko says constitutional changes in that country are not a condition to shut down his office, or for Bosnia to join the EU. The high international representative in Bosnia spoke for Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina Radio when he said that "it would be a good proof that in this country, things can move forward and that the political situation is such that constitutional changes are possible". Bosnia rep: Constitution no condition "As constitutional changes are negotiated, the logic that some win, and some lose, should be abandoned," Inzko stated, and mentioned an amendment regarding the town of Brcko as an example where "everybody wins". He also said that the constitution should "make the state more efficient". Asked whether he would use his so-called Bonn powers "in case of nationalist rhetoric", Inzko repeated his position that he wished to use those powers in economy-related issues, but that he would not hesitate to use them elsewhere "if need be".
