President of the Bosnian Council of Ministers Nikola Spiric expects Bosnia-Hercegovina to sign the SAA with the EU very soon. He added that “the date of the signing doesn’t depend on Bosnia-Hercegovina, but on the EU. We would like to be able to sign the agreement this month. However, it is now a question of technical procedures within the EU. “Bosnia soon to sign SAA” It’s a shame that recently we’ve created a stuffy political atmosphere, so that the room for normal people to be happy about the country’s success is limited,” Spiric lamented. He told Sarajevo daily Dnevni Avaz that the agreement with the EU was the most important agreement Bosnia-Hercegovina would sign after the Dayton Peace Accords. Assessing the work of the Bosnian government, the prime minister said that the Council of Ministers could cope with the most daunting challenges “provided ministers behave like ministers.” “Regretfully, this is still a long way from a modern country’s government or council. But, I’m doing my best to draw the biggest benefit for Bosnian citizens out of the Council of Ministers. I think that after the agreement, we’ll be able to meet the EU standards with less political hysteria,” Spiric concluded.
