Vucic responds to Croat counterpart, "will talk to everyone"

Vucic said he was "sorry to hear that" and that "Serbia is always ready to talk for the sake of regional stability and friendly relations between nations and states."

He "stressed it was his personal policy and the policy of the Serbian government" to talk to everyone.

"I would talk even to the devil himself if that's beneficial for Serbia and regional stability and good and friendly relations between nations and states. Perhaps it's not bad after all to see the difference on this issue," Vucic told Tanjug.

He then described as "unacceptable and impermissible the insults voiced by Milanovic at the expense of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic."

"It is unacceptable and impermissible for somebody to insult the president and institutions of the Republic of Serbia by saying they don't know who these people are and what's their job. That says a lot more about the person who uttered it, than about those these words refer to."

Vucic reiterated that "Serbia wants good relations with Croatia, but could not allow itself to be humiliated on the issue of border closure, and was merely protecting itself, and has defended itself successfully."

"But Serbia is always ready to talk and Serbia will always talk because we think that is the only way to forge much better relations between our countries and our peoples," Vucic concluded.
