RIK approves observers, confirms criminal complaint

Two observers from the Russian Electoral Commission and the Bulgarian Embassy each were granted the observer status and the title was also granted to seven members and one translator of the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly.

The diplomats of the Bulgarian embassy will be included in the observer mission of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

RIK President Dejan Đurđević confirmed that the Serb Radical Party (SRS) filed criminal charges against the president and members of the Commission who took part in the adoption of instructions for the implementation of parliamentary elections in Kosovo and Metohija and submitted the request to the Constitutional Court to annul these instructions in urgent procedure.

The SRS noted that "instructions for the implementation of elections in the territory of Kosovo constitute a gross violation of the Constitution and the Law on Appointment of MPs as these make room for major election fraud."

This party believes that instructions "do not treat Kosovo as a part of Serbia, while control of electoral list submitters was canceled as it was decided that the votes of Kosovo Serbs will not be counted at the electoral places after the polls as is the case in other parts of Serbia and would instead be transported to Raska and Vranje, southern Serbia."
