BELGRADE First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic has said that there is some confusion regarding the implementation of the agreement reached by Belgrade and Pristina. He said that he therefore did not believe that a government session would be held to discuss the implementation plan reached by Serbian and Kosovo Prime Ministers Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaci. There is “confusion” regarding implementation plan The first deputy PM announced that he would discuss changes to the implementation of the Brussels agreement with certain international officials on Saturday. “I do not believe that a government session will be held today because of the confusion regarding the implementation plan. This is why I will speak to certain representatives of the international community today, in order to get some more guarantees for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija,” he said. Vucic stressed that changes to the implementation plan did not refer to the so-called parallel institutions in Kosovo. “The changes refer to lack of obligation to change Pristina laws, technical details for the Community of Serb Municipalities and a status part that would guarantee Serbian documents,” he explained. The first deputy PM noted that Serbia insisted that Serbs be allowed to have Serbian identification documents and citizenship. When asked when he would meet with representatives of Kosovo Serbs, Vucic said that he had meetings with them several times a week. He added that not all Kosovo Serbs were against the Brussels agreement. “I cannot change them and they cannot change us. The key question is whether we can work together and what we can get,” the first deputy prime minister concluded. Aleksandar Vucic (Beta, file) Beta
