A Kosovo Serb man arrested on Thursday by EULEX on suspicion that he killed a member of the Kosovo police, KPS, was released on Friday evening. Radisa Vucinic's lawyer Zecir Madjuni confirmed this for Tanjug news agency. Serb arrested by Kosovo police released Madjuni said that EULEX international judge refused the request by the public prosecutor and acquitted Vucinic, who was suspected of a total of six criminal acts related to the killing of KPS member Enver Zumberi last summer. Zumberi was shot and killed amid high tensions in the north of the province, as the authorities in Pristina sent their police units in an attempt to take over administrative line checkpoints between Kosovo and central Serbia in majority Serb areas. Madjuni told Tanjug this evening that there were no evidence for any of the six criminal acts for which Vucinic was suspected and for which he was threatened with a sentence of 40 years in prison. Vucinic was suspected of several crimes, including murder, attempted murder, assault on a person on official duty, and illegal possession of weapons. According to the lawyer's words, proof was given that Vucinic was not among the participants in the incident last summer. EULEX police Thursday arrested Vucinic who, they said, was sought in connection with the murder of Zumberi. Vucinic was arrested in the etnic Albanian village Cabra, also in the north. Tanjug
