Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic on Friday in Belgrade received Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons Peter Milliken. Milliken told the Serbian permier that his country's image in Canada "improved exceptionally over the past two years", said reports. Cvetkovic stated that the Canadian parliamentary delegation’s visit was "new encouragement for development of bilateral relations between Serbia and Canada". He argued in favor of strengthening and intensifying of economic cooperation with Canada and increasing trade. Cvetkovic also thanked Canada for the financial support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). The Canadian delegation was also received by Serbian Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic.
