The newly-elected Belgrade Assembly President Aleksandar Antic says he is extremely pleased that a Socialist is heading this body once again after 11 years. Antic, of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) – a party founded and let until his death by Slobodan Milosevic – said that the “councilors and public will be able to expect a higher level of democracy and culture within the city assembly”.
