The six-point plan agreed on between UN and Belgrade, without the approval of Pristina, will likely be rejected, an Albanian language daily writes today. But, Koha Ditore reports, there are indications that agreement on the deployment of the European Union (EU) mission EULEX could be reached between Pristina and Brussels. "Pristina to reach deal with Brussels" The daily's sources pointed out that the deployment of EULEX, bypassing the six-point plan of UNMIK's reconfiguration, could be "a specific compromise in order to start things moving in the field". The process is expected to be completed with the rejection of the UN six-point plan and an agreement between Pristina and Brussels that will enable the deployment of the EULEX. Kosovo Albanian leaders have not accepted the proposed plan of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for creating parallel systems in Kosovo for the customs administration, the judiciary, and in the police chain of command, the newspaper says. At the same time, Belgrade has emphasized that it would find any change in the plan unacceptable, and that this would block the process of the reorganization of the current local UN administration UNMIK, within the UN Security Council.
