An organization calling itself the Kosovo Intelligence Service (KOS) has ended its mission, its leader Kadri Veseli said last night. Beta news agency reports from Pristina that Veseli appeared on local television "to call on citizens to support the work of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency". "Kosovo intelligence service disbanded" The statement read out says that the Kosovo assembly had adopted a constitution which comes into force today, that includes setting up of such an agency, and that, because of this, KOS "declared its mission to be over". The organization was active illegally in Kosovo in the mid-1990s, to then join the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army, KLA, and was reported as close to the Democratic Party of Kosovo after the 1999 war.
