Spain's FCC is not withdrawing from the Horgos-Pozega highway deal, an official says. Rather, FCC is relaying 50 percent of its concession rights to Austria's PORR, state secretary with the Ministry of Infrastructure, Mihailo Markovic, told reporters Thursday. FCC relays concession rights to PORR "FCC has sent a letter to the Serbian government where it states its plans to turn over half of its rights in the concession company to PORR," the official reacted to unofficial information that appeared in the media. The concession contract for the construction of the highway was signed between the government of Serbia and Austrian-Spanish consortium FCC Alpine Mayreder in March this year. "Any changes within the concession company cannot be made without the government's approval," Markovic said and added that there were "no obstacles to FCC giving a part of its rights to another company, under the same conditions."
