Nenad Malic was sentenced on Monday in Belgrade to 13 years in prison for the murder of two Muslim civilians in Bosnia. The charged against his also included the attempted murder of another Bosnian Muslim (Bosniak) in Stari Majdan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, in 1992. 13 years for Bosnia war crime Elaborating on the verdict, Presiding Judge of the War Crimes Chamber of the Belgrade District Court Vesko Krstajic said that speaking before the investigative judge three days after the crime, the defendant described in detail the way in which he had murdered his victims Husein Grbic and Refik Velic. Malic was accused of the crime before the Cantonal Court in Bihac, Bosnia, in 2002, but the Bosnia Ministry of Justice handed over the case to Serbia and entrusted them with the criminal prosecution, all in keeping with the International Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Act. The trial of Nenad Malic opened on September 18, and the defendant was in custody since January of this year.
