21 years for Bosnian Serb war criminals
Two Bosnian Serbs have been sentenced to a total of 21 years imprisonment for war crimes.

Two Bosnian Serbs have been sentenced to a total of 21 years imprisonment for war crimes. Mitar Rasevic (59) was sentenced to eight and a half years while Sava Todorovic (56) received 12 and a half years for atrocities committed against non-Serbs living in the Foca region of eastern Bosnia, according to German agency DPA. 21 years for Bosnian Serb war criminals The two were accused and convicted of participating in persecution and systematic attacks by the Bosnian Serb military, police and paramilitary forces from April 1992 to October 1994. Todorovic was at the time the deputy prison chief in Foca, while Rasevic worked as a cook in the same prison, where Serbs, according to the indictment, “held Muslims and other non-Serbs from Foca and the surrounding areas in inhumane conditions.” Rasevic surrendered to the Hague Tribunal in August 2003, as did Todorovic in January 2005. In September 2006, the Hague Tribunal decided to transfer the case to the Bosnia-Herzegovina courts, after which Rasevic and Todorovic were transferred to Sarajevo to stand trial.
