Serbian currency hits new high
The Serbian dinar (RSD) today reached new record high in 2011, strengthening against the euro (EUR) by 27 paras.

The Serbian dinar (RSD) today reached new record high in 2011, strengthening against the euro (EUR) by 27 paras. The official middle exchange rate is thus at RSD 102.4816 for one euro, the National Bank of Serbia said. Serbian currency hits new high The previous highest record of the exchange rate was reached on March 15, and stood at RSD 102.5674. The Serbian currency hit its lowest level against the euro this year on January 6, when the official middle exchange rate was RSD 106.4947. Since the beginning of 2011, the central bank has intervened in the interbank foreign exchange market only once when it purchased EUR 5mn in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.

The previous highest record of the exchange rate was reached on March 15, and stood at RSD 102.5674.The Serbian currency hit its lowest level against the euro this year on January 6, when the official middle exchange rate was RSD 106.4947.
