Domestic currency continues slide
The dinar’s value against the euro decreased for the third day in a row hitting its lowest value since the euro’s introduction in 2002.

The dinar’s value against the euro decreased for the third day in a row hitting its lowest value since the euro’s introduction in 2002. The exchange rate is currently one euro for RSD 99.7044, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) stated after intervening again on the foreign exchange market with EUR 30mn on Thursday. Domestic currency continues slide Including yesterday's sale of EUR 30mn, the NBS has sold a total of EUR 486.5mn to stabilize the domestic currency since the beginning of 2010 . NBS Governor Radovan Jelasic said earlier in the week that an increase in the amount of dinars in Serbia's financial system will contribute to macroeconomic stability and relieve pressure on the foreign currency exchange rate. The dinar recorded its highest value this year on January 4, when the official exchange rate was RSD 95.9679 for one euro.
Domestic currency continues slide
Including yesterday's sale of EUR 30mn, the NBS has sold a total of EUR 486.5mn to stabilize the domestic currency since the beginning of 2010.
NBS Governor Radovan Jelašić said earlier in the week that an increase in the amount of dinars in Serbia's financial system will contribute to macroeconomic stability and relieve pressure on the foreign currency exchange rate.
The dinar recorded its highest value this year on January 4, when the official exchange rate was RSD 95.9679 for one euro.
