Serbia and Slovakia signed on Monday a protocol on cooperation between in the field of labor and employment, the Serbian government announced.

Serbia-Slovakia protocol to prevent illegal employment

Djordjevic, who is on a working visit to Slovakia, "stressed that the cooperation of countries in the region in the field of preventing gray economy is of great importance since it aims to ensure full protection of citizens at work abroad, while respecting the valid regulations of both countries."

He said that it was "in the common interest to further strengthen the cooperation of the two governments in this field, especially in the fight against illegal work."

Beta is reporting that Serbians have been the most numerous foreign workers in Slovakia this year - 8,500 Serbian citizens found employment in this country in 2017. According to the relevant Slovak ministry, this 4,300 more workers than in 2016.
