Serbia's Interior Ministry strongly denies claims about helicopter: "That helicopter is not part of our fleet"

“The Ministry of the Interior strongly denies false information and speculation circulating in certain media outlets and on social media regarding the alleged use of a helicopter belonging to the Ministry’s Helicopter Unit to transport former President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić to Kragujevac.

We emphasize that the helicopter shown in the footage is not part of the Helicopter Unit’s fleet, nor has the unit ever owned this type of helicopter.

We also wish to inform the public that, since Mr. Vučić submitted his resignation as President of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of the Interior has received no official requests to deploy the resources of its Helicopter Unit for his transportation.

The Ministry of the Interior urges media outlets not to publish unverified and inaccurate information and, in the interest of keeping the public accurately informed, to officially verify all information before publication,” the statement said.
