Meeting between Aleksandar Vučić and the leadership of Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces concluded

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, addressing the media, first thanked representatives of Republika Srpska who came to Belgrade to jointly review all security aspects.

He said that he had proposed the robotization of the army, which should be equipped with robotic platforms, drones, and the most modern weaponry.

According to him, the military is facing revolutionary changes, which is why he asked members of the armed forces to approach these changes with the greatest enthusiasm.

“The security situation is more complex than in January, due to the actions of a military alliance between Croatia, Albania, and so-called Kosovo,” Vučić said, adding: “Our commitment is to preserve peace and stability, and we will succeed only if we are sufficiently strong.”

“In line with that, in the coming days we will sign major contracts for the further procurement of military equipment,” Vučić emphasized.

Milorad Dodik was the first to address the media, stating that Republika Srpska is concerned about the military alliance of Albania, so-called Kosovo, and Croatia, as it is directed against Republika Srpska, and that this alliance should be closely monitored by everyone in the region because it threatens stability in the Balkans.

The meeting began shortly after 8 a.m. at the “Banjica 2” barracks in Belgrade, and was attended by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić, Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović, as well as members of the collegiums of the Minister of Defence and the Chief of the General Staff.
