Saičić: "The Student List" will be ready to form a new government

"You will be informed, just like everyone else, when the Student Movement and the Student List issue a joint statement," Saičić told the Danas newspaper.

Asked who actually makes the decisions regarding appointments to government positions, he replied that everything was being done through consultations between the Student Movement and the candidates on the Student List.

Asked whether discussions about Serbia's new government had already begun, he said the matter had been under discussion for some time.

"We are considering it. It's not as if we're waiting until Christmas to fatten up a pig. But what exactly will happen is still being discussed," Saičić added.

He said that the first step would be the constitution of the National Assembly.

"The inaugural session of Serbia's parliament can be convened very soon, but that is not up to us. Ana Brnabić is responsible for convening the Assembly. Of course, whenever it is called, we will be ready to do what is our job, our duty and our obligation to the voters who elected us," Saičić said.

He also said that more would become known about the next steps once the Assembly is convened.
