Xi wrote to Vučić: "I greatly appreciate Serbia's support; I look forward to meeting you in China"

According to reports, Xi thanked Vučić for the letter of congratulations on his birthday and emphasized that under Vučić's leadership, Serbia achieved exceptional success in national development.

"I highly appreciate Serbia's consistent and firm support for China on issues concerning key interests and main concerns. In May of this year, we met in Moscow, Russia and had a deep exchange of views on the relations between China and Serbia, as well as on the international situation. We reached a broad consensus and thus determined the direction for the high-quality improvement of the construction of the China-Serbia community with a common future in the new era," Xi emphasized in the Letter.

He also pointed out that he attaches great importance to the development of relations between China and Serbia and that he is ready to make joint efforts with Vučić to deepen the strategic communication between the two countries, strengthen political mutual trust, promote mutually beneficial cooperation and make continuous progress in building the community of China and Serbia with a common future in the new era, in order to contribute even more to the well-being of our two peoples.

"Looking forward to meeting you in China at the commemorative activity on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the People's Liberation War of the Chinese people against Japanese aggression and in the World Anti-Fascist War, I wish you good health and all the best," said the letter from the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping.
