RTS: For the first time in 25 years, we were prevented from airing commemoration for NATO air raids' victims
Radio-television of Serbia issued a statement regarding the impossibility of airing the program, due to the blockade, stressing that this is the first time in 25 years that RTS did not broadcast live the commemoration of the anniversary of NATO air raids.
They started their announcement in the following manner:
"Dear citizens,
For the first time in 25 years, when we are gathering in Tasmajdan to pay our respects to our 16 colleagues who died in the NATO bombing of our building on April 23, 1999 at 2.06 after midnight, RTS did not broadcast the memorial service live.
Our capacities have been blocked by students and citizens who illegally prevent employees from entering their workplaces and doing the work that is their professional, legal and moral obligation."
