Vučić addresses the public: He will announce the name of the Prime Minister designate

"Unity, peace and stability are needed in our country and in our Serbia. Due to the tensions in society, I am afraid that we are not able to see all the dangers. The situation in the region is very difficult, especially the political situation in the RS and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where verdicts have been passed against the President, the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Prime Minister. We are exposed to open attacks both from Sarajevo and countless lies because it is necessary to weaken and destroy Serbia," said Vučić at the beginning of his address.

"In the previous 10 days, I tried to talk at all levels, we begged the people in NATO, the top of the EU and everyone else to find a compromise solution inside Bosnia-Herzegovina. Some solution that will not humiliate any party," he said and added:

"It is difficult to expect any nicer and easier things to be heard. How and in what way and to what extent we will be able to come out unscathed remains to be seen. Any decision regarding the arrest of Milorad Dodik would be catastrophic for Serbia and the region. Srpska can count on Serbia," he said.

About the arrest in Kosovo and Metohija

"Just today, 16 people from central Serbia were arrested in Kosovo and Metohija, who went to visit our seminary and our monasteries in the vicinity of Prizren. Imagine, some of those people are also members of the security structures. And then, he says, they found a knife and some broken ax, which serves, God knows for what, it is quite clear that it is not for anything else, except for some kind of private purposes and private needs. And that shows you what kind of terror against the Serbs will continue, because it is important just to make things difficult for the Serbs. And of course, everyone will be silent and won't say a word," says Vučić.

He points out that "we will continue to support our people in Kosovo and Metohija and warn people to know that they are not going to a territory that is under the effective control of normal people, but those who are only looking for a false sufficient reason to harass, arrest and kill them".

About the tragedy in Novi Sad

"The state had done what it could, the Prosecution took criminal-legal prosecution against the persons it considered responsible. Much faster than anywhere in the world. We did our best to talk about it openly, publicly. Just two days later we had violent riots by attacking the City Hall in Novi Sad, throwing torches, smoke bombs..." says Vučić.

About violent protests in Serbia

"From then until today in Serbia, lawlessness and terror reign in a good part of our institutions and on the streets. Every day we witness the violation of the Constitution of Serbia and the laws of Serbia. One of the basic rights is freedom of movement, which no one must infringe on you. Not a single day to this day have we had established freedom of movement because of those who think they are God-given. They occupied our institutions, schools, faculties, and carried out undisguised violence. In Niš, they called for crime all day and all the previous days, they called for the most brutal violence, participated in violence, persecuted and beat women with eggs and stones," he said.

About the new Government and the Prime Minister-designate

"Vucevic resigned. When we called all the people for peace, the SNS premises in Novi Sad were attacked that same evening. We lost an excellent prime minister, a good man. It wasn't enough for them, nothing is enough for them. You thought you could bully someone forever and that person would remain silent. The new government will be elected by Good Friday and it has difficult tasks ahead of it: For the country to solve the US tax issue; To speed up the EU path; to preserve traditional friends in the East; To continue to preserve peace and stability and not to use force until the last moment when it is necessary to use it".

"My recommendation to the president is to choose people who want to fight and push the country forward," said Vučić.
